It's Been a While!

Greetings everyone and I hope 2019 is going well.  Hard to believe it's going to be March in a couple of weeks. The days, weeks, months fly by.  And looking at the last date I posted some "News", the years fly by too!

I know it's a social media world and it's important in building and maintaining a fan-base which all of us in music are trying to do. But, I find the insatiable need to produce "content" for posting and updating to be a bit tiresome sometimes.  I think for me, the time required to let people know what I'm up to is better spent in the creative process coming up with something really good that's worth talking about. I've been doing a lot of that in the past 7 years since I've posted my last News entry.

To recap; I released three albums of mostly original material; most notably Love Radio in 2014 which I'm very proud of and the most recent About Funk in Time of which I'm equally proud.  AFIT was released late last year and I'm still promoting it and getting some good feedback.  I've been trying to get in touch with some of the writers and performers for the covers I did who are still around to get a comment from them but have been unsucessful thus far.  But I've gotten a ton of spins on college and community radio stations all over the country courtesy of  Adam Lewis & The Planetary Group.  My good buddy and fan Roberto Rossi from radio PNR in Turin, Italy has been playing it weekly and made it Album of the Week a little while ago. He's also been passing it around to some of his radio buddies elsewhere in The Homeland.  One of these years I'm gonna visit him and would love to do a gig or two in Italy.

In 2015 I formed the latest version of The Joint Venture Band with guitarist extraordinaire Joe Musella and bassist Tom Appleman. I worked with Joe for many years in The JV Band in the late 90's and Tom I knew of but hadn't worked with.  The three of us formed a really rocking trio and have been playing clubs around Boston for the past 3 1/2 years or so.  We've used a few different bass players including Tim Archibald who was a great fit and super fun. You can go to the Joint Venture tab on my home page to read more and hear tunes and watch video.

At the moment, I'm working on my next project (more on that to come) and promoting About Funk In Time, doing gigs with Joint Venture and enjoying life in all its complexity and possibility.

So, that's it for now.  Glad to be back and I promise I will be keeping this section updated with fresh news on a regular basis.(for real this time!).
